I started in dendrochronology on a PhD project funded by the then Science and Engineering Research Council on what was called a CASE studentship in collaboration with the Ancient Monuments Laboratory of the Department of the Environment - which is now part of English Heritage. For many years now I have carried out contract work for them - and produced a number of reports - these changing names over the years from Ancient Monuments Laboratory Reports, to Centre for Archaeology Reports, and currently EH Research Department Reports. These are available from English Heritage for a small charge, or specific questions about a particular site mey be addressed directly to me.
